Permatex® 1 Minute Gel Epoxy

Features and Benefits:

Permatex® General Purpose 1 Minute Gel Epoxy is a fast setting, two-part adhesive and filler system specially formulated with a Blue Dye Indicator that disappears when it’s fully mixed and ready to use. The advanced gel formulation reduces mess and waste compared to traditional epoxies; unique indicator system takes the guesswork out of “ready to use”.

DIRECTIONS:
PROTECT: Work area must be protected from accidental spills.
CLEAN: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
PREPARE: Roughen smooth surfaces (using abrasives or sandpaper).
OPEN PACKAGE: Remove Syringe. Turn syringe nozzle end up and pull plunger back slightly (1/8”). Allow air bubbles to rise to top. Snap off and save storage cap. Push plunger to dispense equal amounts of hardener and resin onto discard-able surface such as a piece of cardboard. Mixing paddle will pop out from plunger. Pull back plunger to stop flow. Snap cap back on.
MIX QUICKLY: Quickly and thoroughly mix until blue colour turns clear (about 15 sec).
APPLICATION: Apply small amount of mixture to both surfaces and assemble parts immediately (product sets in approximately 60 seconds). Remove any excess epoxy immediately.
CURE TIME: Usable strength is reached in 1 hour at 72ºF (22ºC).Cooler temperatures may require longer set time.
CLEAN-UP: Attach nozzle cap and store in moulded tray.
NOTE: Adhesive will not bond most polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.

Permatex® 2 Ton Epoxy

Features and Benefits:

Permatex’s Clear 2 Ton Epoxy is a general-purpose high strength epoxy designed to bond together ridged materials for a permanent hold. Repositionable up to 15 minutes and is clear in color. Bonds ceramics, fiberglass metal concrete, and more!

NOTE: Will not bond to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. This epoxy product is recommended for indoor use only, as the cured epoxy can yellow and darken when exposed to sunlight and the elements.

Permatex® 30 Minute High Strength General Purpose Epoxy

Versatile, easy-to-use, general purpose epoxy adhesive is two-part adhesive and filler system that eliminates the need for welding or brazing. Sets in thirty minutes, no clamping needed. Clear appearance. Fills gaps and will not shrink. When cured, can be drilled, sanded, threaded or filed. Resistant to water and solvents. Temperature range -60°F to 180°F (-51°C to 82°C). Permanent strength up to 3500 PSI.

 

DIRECTIONS:
PROTECT: Work area must be protected from accidental spills.
CLEAN: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
PREPARE: Roughen smooth surfaces (using abrasives or sandpaper).

Permatex® 5 Minute Gap Filling Epoxy

Features and Benefits:

Versatile, easy-to-use, general purpose epoxy adhesive is two-part adhesive and filler system that eliminates the need for welding or brazing. Sets in five minutes, no clamping needed. Clear appearance. Fills gaps and will not shrink. Resistant to water and solvents. Temperature range -60°F to 180°F (-51°C to 82°C). Permanent strength up to 3400 PSI. Self-mixing dual syringe (84164) blends the adhesive and filler as it dispenses, eliminating the need for manual mixing.

PREPARE: Roughen smooth surfaces (using abrasives or sandpaper)
OPEN PACKAGE: Remove tubes and use the back of cap or a sharp point to puncture seals.
DISPENSE: Squeeze tubes to dispense resin and hardener. Thoroughly mix resin & hardener on a clean, discardable surface for 2 to 3 minutes until evenly colored.
APPLICATION: Apply a small amount of mixture to both surfaces and assemble parts immediately (product sets in 4-6 minutes).Remove any excess epoxy immediately.

Permatex® Cold Weld Bonding Compound

Features and Benefits:

A 15-minute, two-part adhesive and filler system that eliminates the need for welding or brazing. It repairs, fills and bonds to iron, steel, brass, bronze, aluminium and copper. Once cured, it can be drilled, tapped, threaded, filed, sanded and painted. Resists most automotive, shop and cleaning fluids. Withstands temperatures to 300°F intermittent. Over 3,000 PSI shear strength on steel.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Surface must be clean, dry and free from grease and dirt. Use Permatex® Brake & PartsCleaner for best surface preparation; use isopropyl alcohol on plastics.
  • To improve bond strength, roughen bond area with coarse sandpaper or wire brush prior to application.
  • Squeeze out equal amounts of weld agent and hardening agent; mix thoroughly until colour is uniform.
  • Apply to surface being repaired and remove excess material immediately.
  • Sets in 8 minutes. Allow 16 hours (overnight) before returning part(s) to service.

Permatex® Fast Cure Epoxy

Features and Benefits:

Convenient pre-measured epoxy mixer cups contain resin and hardener in one convenient package. No guess, no mess, no waste. Ideal for bonding glass, hard plastics, rubber and metal. Bonds in 5-15 minutes, useable in 30 minutes. Grey adhesive has excellent chemical resistance. Fills porosities and can be used to build up worn parts. May be drilled, tapped, sanded, or machined and painted after cure.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Surfaces to be bonded should be clean and dry. To ensure good adhesion, rough-up surfaces if possible.
  • Remove protective film from cup. Using one of the mixer sticks provided, push down the center of the kit to form mixer cup. Scrape all epoxy resin into the center of the cup and mix thoroughly (approximately one minute).
  • Use mixing stick to apply epoxy to bonding area. Press surfaces together until set.
  • While epoxy is still tacky, the excess can be removed with solvent.
  • Parts fixture in 5-15 minutes, full cure achieved in 24 hours.

Permatex® Plastic Welder™

Features and Benefits:

A structural adhesive designed for general purpose bonding of a wide variety of material such as hard and soft plastics to specified surfaces. Forms a tough, durable bond to most plastics, composites, ceramics, wood in any combination. Fast curing product with gelling of mixed adhesive in 5 – 6 minutes and fixturing in 9 – 10 minutes. NOTE: Will not bond most polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. Bonds hard and soft plastics to specified surfaces. Requires no primers, sets in five minutes at room temperature. Cream appearance. Gap filling to 0.125 inch. Water resistant and good chemical resistance. Temperature range -60°F to 250°F (-51°C to 121°C). Permanent strength up to 3500 PSI.

Permatex’s Cellulose Wood Epoxy is the only wood epoxy to incorporate cellulose, the primary substance on cell walls of green plants. This organic ingredient gives the strength, colour and behaviour of natural wood. Bonds to furniture, doors, windows, trim/modelling, decks and more!
