Permatex® Electrical Contact & Parts Cleaner

Features and Benefits:

Suited for cleaning electrical and electronic devices, this fast evaporating, noncorrosive cleaner leaves no residue. It removes grease, dirt, oil, flux and other surface contaminants. Designed to be an alternative to CFC-113, 1,1,1-trichloroethane and perchloroethylene solvents.

DIRECTIONS:

• Read entire label before using this product.
• DO NOT apply to energised equipment or where there is a residual electrical potential from a component such as a capacitor.
• Hold can 6 – 8 inches from surface to be cleaned.
• Spray surfaces to be cleaned.
• Extension tube may be used for pinpoint application.
• For stubborn residues, repeat application.
• For difficult to reach areas, swabs or lint free cloths may be used.
• Allow to dry completely before re-energising system.

Suggested Applications: Electronic parts: circuit boards, computer components, relay switches. Electric parts: electric motors, generators, starters, pumps, motor windings, solenoids, and compressors.

Permatex® Engine Degreaser

Features and Benefits:

New formula contains no petroleum distillates. Foaming action quickly dissolves and removes grease, oil and dirt from all types of equipment. Cleans iron, steel, aluminium, magnesium and copper. Not harmful to metal, rubber, plastic, or concrete. Rinses off easily with water. Level 3

DIRECTIONS:

• Shake well before using.
• Make sure engine is turned off and cool.
• Spray generously starting with the lower engine areas. Work towards the top of the engine. DO NOT spray directly onto alternator, distributor, electronic components and air intake systems. Care must be taken on all under hood wiring and electronic sensors.
• Immediately wipe off any overspray from external painted surfaces and plastic chrome with water dampened cloth.
• Allow Eliminator III Engine Degreaser to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Heavy deposits of grease and grime may have to be brushed. DO NOT start engine after applying degreaser. Rinsing properly cleans engine and avoids potential fire hazards and odours.
• Rinse with a mild stream of water from the top of the engine down. Do not use power washers or heavy streams of water.
• PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND USE THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF WATER TO RINSE ENGINE. FOLLOW ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF WASTE WATER.
• After engine has been rinsed, allow to drain for a few minutes. Start engine and allow to idle for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Drive vehicle for a short period of time to completely dry engine or allow to dry overnight.

Permatex® Pro-Strength Brake & Parts Cleaner

Features and Benefits:

Specifically formulated to aggressively remove oil, grease, brake fluids, oxidised oils (gum) and asphalt from all types of brakes and other automotive parts. It penetrates through dirt and corrosion and flushes them away, eliminating the need to disassemble. It leaves no residue, dries fast and is non-corrosive to metals. Developed for brake professionals. Contains no ODCs. Level 1.

DIRECTIONS:

• Protect painted surfaces, C.V. boots and all parts made of plastic and rubber from overspray.
• Shake well.
• First spray the surfaces gently from a distance to wet down hazardous surface dust (which may still contain asbestos fibers and other harmful particles) to prevent them from becoming airborne.
• Then they can be more safely flushed down and off the parts without being breathed.
• Hold can upright and spray liberally on all parts to be cleaned.
• Allow to air dry or wipe with soft cloth.
• Repeat application if necessary.

Suggested Applications: All brake systems, C.V. joints, machinery, tools, and farm equipment.

Motorcycle
Suggested Applications: All brake systems, drums, calipers, discs, shoes, pads, cylinders, and any degreasing project.

Heavy Duty
Suggested Applications: Dissolves grease, dirt and oil from parts on chassis. Prepares mating surfaces for Permatex® products.

Permatex® Rust Dissolver Gel

Features and Benefits:

Chemically dissolves rust from all iron and steel surfaces. Brush or spray on, wash off rust with cloth. Replaces sanding and scraping.

DIRECTIONS:

• Wear rubber gloves when using.
• Scrape or wipe loose dirt and rust flakes from surface.
• Brush on liberally and work into pitted areas.
• Leave on 5-10 minutes. Wipe off painted surfaces immediately.
• Wash or rinse off with fresh water.
• Repeat applications for heavily rusted areas. Allow product to remain on surface longer if necessary.
• Limit applications to five minutes for chrome or plated surfaces.

Suggested Applications: Iron and steel surfaces on cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, and trailers.
